The dress code for the programme is smart casual with comfortable shoes. Ensure you bring warm clothes as it gets cooler in the evenings, as well as a raincoat in case there is a shower.

Naivasha has an elevation of about 1,884 metres (6,181 ft). Enashipai also offers additional facilities such as a gym, swimming pool, and jogging/running spaces, which you may use during your free time. If you plan to, remember to bring any necessary gear/equipment you will need.

Gala Dinner dress code

On the evening of 18 March 2025, we will hold a gala dinner event for BSP.

To celebrate the diversity of BSP Africa delegates and the continent it is taking place on, we invite you to wear your national, traditional, or cultural dress (of choice) for this dinner event.

Remaining in contact with your office

We want you to fully immerse yourself in the programme to ensure you gain the maximum benefit. However, we understand that there may be urgent situations where your office or home needs to contact you and vice versa. To accommodate this, we have made the following arrangements:

• Wi-Fi is available in all conference rooms, common areas and rooms.

• Breaks (which will be detailed in the programme) you can use to get in touch with your home or office.

During the programme, all mobile phones should be set to silent or vibrate mode. If you need to use a device for learning, please do so with integrity to ensure full engagement, respect for the presenters and fellow delegates, and maximum value for yourself and your organization.

Programme Venue

The programme is taking place at the Enashipai Resort and Spa, which is owner-run and situated in Naivasha, Kenya. All delegates will be accommodated at this location and the programme will take place at the venue’s conference centre. Accommodation is on an individual basis with ensuite bedrooms equipped with standard convenience for you.

Your programme fees cover accommodation and meals from March 16 to 19, 2025. However, please note that additional expenses, such as mini-bar charges and other incidental costs, are not included.

Please note

Please note that it is not possible to accommodate accompanying partners and/or guests.

All rooms and common areas across the resort are equipped with Wi-Fi. If you have any specific dietary requirements or concerns, please inform the BSP Africa organizing team before your travel to Kenya.

More information is available on Enashipai’s website. The venue’s contact page also provides a directional map. If there is any emergency (safety, health, etc.) during your stay, contact the hotel reception immediately to initiate their emergency support protocols.

Arrival for the Programme

BSP Africa officially begins at 3.00 pm EAT prompt on Sunday, 16 March 2025, at the Enashipai Resort and Spa, Naivasha, Kenya. All delegates must be in attendance at the start of the programme – as such, please ensure you arrive at the venue on time.

Delegates are responsible for their travel, logistics and accommodation prior to the programme days, and after the programme days. Here is useful information to guide your travel planning.

Please plan your travel and flights to arrive at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. To support your travel in Kenya, we suggest the following options:

For arrival in Nairobi on Saturday, 15 March 2025

You can stay overnight in Nairobi to ensure timely arrival at the programme venue. Using our BSP Africa organising team (Bdazzled), you can arrange for a taxi to pick you up from the airport for your overnight stay at a hotel or location of your choice. Our recommended hotel for you is The Trademark Hotel. Note that this will be at the delegate’s cost.

You can also book rides using the Uber Rides App, which is available in Nairobi. Please ensure that you have mobile roaming access from your network provider. Shuttle buses will also depart from the Trademark Hotel on the morning of Sunday, 16 March 2025 (10.00 am – 11 am EAT), for Enashipai Resort and Spa at CISL’s cost.

For arrival in Nairobi on Sunday, 16 March 2025, before 10.00 am EAT

Please ensure your flight lands in Nairobi by 10 am to allow you time to go through airport checks ahead of arrival at the venue by 3.00 pm. Using the BSP Africa organising team (Bdazzled), you can arrange for a taxi pick up from the airport directly to Enashipai Resort and Spa. The estimated cost is KES 15,000-16,000 (USD 115-125).

You can also book rides using the Uber Rides App, which is available in Nairobi. Please ensure that you have mobile roaming access from your network provider. Please anticipate a travel time of approximately two hours from Nairobi to Naivasha

Kenya/Nairobi-based delegates

Register with the BSP Africa organising team to join the shuttle buses departing from the Trademark Hotel on the morning of 16 March 2025 (10.00 am – 11 am EAT). Alternatively, you may arrange your own transportation to Enashipai Resort & Spa.

Departure after the Programme

The programme ends on Wednesday, 19 March 2025, at 3.30 pm EAT. Shuttle buses are arranged to leave from 3.30 pm EAT onwards to transport programme delegates from Enashipai Resort and Spa to the Trademark Hotel. Please allow approximately two hours for travel from Naivasha to Nairobi.

Departing Kenya

If you are departing on Wednesday 19 March 2025, please book your flight to depart Nairobi after 9 pm EAT (GMT+3). This is to provide you with sufficient time to get to the airport, check-in and board your flight.

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport recommends arriving at least three hours before your flight departure, as check-in, security checks, and clearances can take time, even with online check-in.

For your convenience, you can arrange airport transfers from the Trademark Hotel through the BSP Africa organizing team at your own cost. Alternatively, you may book your own transport using the Uber Rides app.

If you have extra time before your flight, the Village Market Mall, located next to the Trademark Hotel, offers a variety of dining options and activities to keep you engaged. For those departing Kenya after March 19, 2025, please note that you will be responsible for making arrangements at your own expense.

About Kenya

Kenya is a sovereign state in the African Great Lakes region of East Africa. Its capital and largest city is Nairobi. Kenya lies on the equator with the Indian Ocean to the South East, Tanzania to the South, Uganda to the West, South Sudan to the North West, Ethiopia to the North, and Somalia to the North East.

Kenya covers 581,309 km2 (224,445 sq mi) and has a population of about 58 million. Kenya has 47 counties governed by elected governors. Kenya has a diversity of peoples and landscapes. Over 30 different languages are spoken in Kenya, with English and Kiswahili officially recognised as national languages.

The capital, Nairobi, is a regional commercial hub. The economy of Kenya is the largest by GDP in South East and Central Africa. Agriculture is a major employer and the country traditionally exports tea, coffee, and horticulture to Europe.

The service industry is a major economic driver. Kenya is a member of the East African Community. Kenya enjoys relatively high political and social stability.

The capital, Nairobi, and its surrounding area form the Nairobi County. The name “Nairobi” comes from the Maasai phrase Enkare Nyrobi, which translates to “cold water”. However, it is popularly known as the “Green City in the Sun” and is surrounded by several expanding suburbs. The inhabitants of Nairobi are referred to as Nairobians. Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is Nairobi’s international airport.

Safety/Security

Kenya’s cities and towns are developing, vibrant and dynamic urban centres, drawing Kenyans and immigrants from all walks of life. Given the diversity of socio-economic life, exercise caution when traveling and moving around.

Kenyans are friendly and very helpful, but always stay alert and keep an eye on your belongings. In public areas, keep your valuables out of plain sight, including mobile phones.

Traffic within Nairobi city is generally congested, peaking during rush hour in the morning and evening. The city has been ranked as one of the most congested cities in Africa.

Advice on currency

The local currency in Kenya is the Kenyan Shilling. You can make most of your payments via debit/credit cards and cash. If you plan to use a mobile money app ensure you have verified with your bank and/or mobile provider on functionality in Kenya.

There are foreign exchange bureaus in the airport, and at the hotel(s) if you wish to change money to local currency.
